Is it possible to push a name change to a computer that’s already on the domain? I have tried using the, “Set Computer Name and Domain Join” option but it won’t accept the name change. The naming standard required is Domain-Type(WS or WL for workstation or work laptop)-Serial Number. It reads the Serial Number, but fails on actually changing the name. I’m thinking this is due to the lack of admin credentials. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Are you re-onboarding the machine? Are you specifying a particular name during onboarding?
Admin credentials are NOT required in ImmyBot to join a machine to a domain, you only need to have an ImmyBot agent on a writable domain controller in the same tenant as the machine being onboarded.
