Deployments vs onboardings

Ok so there may be an easy way to do what im looking for and im overcomplicating it. So if there is please let me know!

The goal:
I want to setup a section that our techs and engineers can go into and run software deployments on computers from a specific tenant.

I want this task to NOT run on any onboardings for the that same tenant.
(the reason for this is because I am trying to install quickbooks and it has a limited number of licenses so it should only be installed on specific computers.)

Initially I created a seperate tenant and then created the deployment under that new tenant. The issue im having with that is I cant see the computers tied to the original tenant then even if i make the original/primary tenant the parent. And I cannot bind the same azure tenant to 2 immybot tenants at the same time.

The idea is that we can use this for ticket requests for specific software.

Any ideas?

Any help is appreciated!

Hi Brandon - I think you should instead create a license key or file for your software, then use that on a deployment that only targets an azure group that contains the right target users corresponding with the correct use case for the license.

This would prevent you from splitting up your customers tenancy, which could bring in a host of unpredictable issues.
