Updates - Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) & Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Team
Role Based Access Control (RBAC) Update - Initially, we considered a phased rollout—Phase 1 and Phase 2—to bring certain features to users sooner. However, after completing a significant portion of the work, we determined that executing two separate phases would require additional effort and complexity.
As a result, we have decided to consolidate our efforts into a single initial release that will include both feature-based access and resource-based access. Feature access allows users to navigate to and interact with various functionalities, while resource access defines what data users can modify within those features.
Additionally, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) remains on track with our original estimates. However, given the shift to a unified release, we anticipate this will now take place towards the tail end of July.
We appreciate the continued support and enthusiasm from all of you as we streamline this process to deliver a more comprehensive and effective solution in the initial rollout. Stay tuned for further updates!
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team - We are thrilled to share that our team is expanding! As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are building a dedicated Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to enhance our operations and provide even greater support. The SRE team’s primary mission is to collaborate directly with Support, ensuring tickets are resolved more efficiently and effectively. Additionally, the SRE team will be tasked with dedicated time to work on bug fixes and integration optimization.
Scott Linak joins Immy.Bot as the company’s first SRE hire. With a decade of diverse development experience on industry-leading products, Scott brings a keen attention to detail and a wealth of expertise that will elevate Immy.Bot’s infrastructure and reliability to new heights. In tandem, Mark Gomez steps in to lead the Support team, leveraging nearly 10 years of experience in MSP support and leadership. Scott and Mark will bridge the gap between engineering and support, ensuring seamless service for Immy.Bot’s growing user base.
