Hey everyone! Jason the designer here with a sneak announcement. We know that ImmyBot’s access control is limited, and it’s unclear what the built-in roles even do.
Enter RBAC (Role-based Access Controls). This new functionality will clarify what the built-in roles do, introduce the ability to create custom roles/capabilities, and allow permission overrides per Tenant.
Don’t want your Level 1 techs touching certain computers? Need to give finance access to billing information? Picky about who should approve deployment changes? All possible, and so much more. The team is hard at work and we expect to launch this year.

Considering Immy’s already tight integration with Entra for Identity purposes, I’d love it if Entra groups could be utilized for assigning roles. Love everything shown

Would love for Inventory Script and Software inventory results to be areas we can assign by RBAC role. I regularly run into cases where that’s the best way to do some quick reporting but it’s challenging to get my team to use it since they have to request help from an Admin.
@Stephen_Moody , if you’re referring to the Computer Inventory Scripts page under Reporting, then yes that will be included in RBAC.
