Feature Request: Table to associate serial # to machine rename
Would like to have a place to enter a serial number and associated hardcoded machine name.
Use case:
• Devboxes are wiped regularly and would like them to pick up static new name (e.g. Test-Laptop1, DevBox2)
• Workstations being wiped can get a statically reserved name
Why: Tired of seeing DESKTOP**** in Immybot when wiping existing machine that already can safely associate to name. I know there is a rename task but it seems to be mostly limited to patterns that wouldn’t work for my tenant; would be handy to have a Key+Value pair table within something like that or at tenant level to add regularly/often wiped machines (e.g. test machines etc).
Similar request:
- Ability to tag multiple machines with a script or uploading csv - I think this one is a tighter scope, just a serial number to machine name associative array/table somewhere that could enter (for starting point).
Priority/Want Level: Low, just nice to have for increased admin adoption
